About Us

United Imaging has been a pioneer in photo imaging for the plastic surgery community since its inception in 1985. The company was the first to develop software designed specifically for demonstrating the projected results of plastic surgery procedures. We went on to have the first imaging systems operating in the Windows environment, the first high resolution digital cameras for photo archiving, and the first of many advanced imaging tools for creating projected post surgery changes to a patient’s photograph.

In June of 2019, the founder of United Imaging retired and turned over the reins of ownership of the company to Nancy Rothrock. Nancy comes to the company with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida and 20 years of experience with the United Imaging Marketwise software in a facial plastic surgery practice environment. Her experience includes using the United Imaging software to image and archive all facial surgery patient consultations for the facial plastic surgeon, as well as shooting and editing video of the facial and body surgeons performing surgery to create teaching videos.  Nancy managed the visual assets of the practice to produce excellent, consistent and comparable “before” and “after” patient photos.  These outcomes are also used to represent the practice in talks at conferences all over the world. Nancy also has produced surgical videos that are currently archived with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery’s video library. She also has 8 years of experience training practices around the country in the use of the software for the previous ownership.

United Imaging stands for quality and excellence. With the second generation of management, the company is committed to maintaining a high standard of customer service. Our emphasis on customer service will ensure our customers continued product improvements and support as we look toward the future.

Nancy Rothrock
Owner, United Imaging, LLC

Nancy Skelton Rothrock grew up in Carmel, Indiana and attended Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida majoring in Illustration. She and her husband, Rocky, ran a wedding and family portrait photography business for 15 years before she became a medical photographer at Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis for the craniofacial clinic. Riley Children’s Hospital is where she was first introduced to the United Imaging software. After 7 years at Riley, Nancy was recruited to be the medical photographer at the facial plastic surgery practice of Dr. Stephen Perkins in Indianapolis. At Dr. Perkins’ office, Nancy became the primary photographer and imaged all of Dr. Perkins’ cosmetic consultations using the United Imaging software. Her responsibilities included creating the protocol for reproduceable facial and body photography for all staff and she was the graphic artist for advertising and social media ad creation. She also shot and edited surgery videos for all the surgeons at her practice. Some of her videos are currently for sale at the AAFPRS LEARN video library as surgery videos performed by Dr. Stephen Perkins and Dr. Bruce Van Natta. In March of 2019 Nancy moved to the Chapel Hill area of North Carolina. Shortly thereafter she was approached by the former owner of United Imaging to take over the company. With her two sons now grown, Nancy is able to concentrate her energy on growing the business and looks forward to continuing the long and successful relationships United Imaging has enjoyed with doctor’s offices in Canada, the United States, and around the world.
